Gunung Arong Recreational Forest is a protected forest reserve in Mersing district, Johor. The forest features hiking trails leading to a scenic viewpoint at approximately 250 metres elevation. It is part of the larger forested hill range along the east coast and offers panoramic views of the surrounding landscape and coastline. The area is home to diverse tropical flora and fauna.

Getting There

Located in Mersing district, approximately 15–20 km from Mak Chu Chalet. Accessible by car via local roads. The trailhead is signposted from the main road.
