Pulau Tioman

Tioman Island (Pulau Tioman) is a duty-free island located off the east coast of Peninsular Malaysia in the state of Pahang, approximately 30 km from the town of Mersing, Johor. The island spans about 39 km long and 12 km wide. It was named one of the most beautiful islands in the world by TIME magazine in the 1970s. The island features lush tropical rainforest, coral reefs, and clear waters popular for diving and snorkelling. It has a population of around 500 people. Ferries depart from Mersing Jetty, which is about 12 km from Mak Chu Chalet.

  • Journey time by ferry is approximately 1.5–2 hours
  • Check ferry schedules in advance, especially during monsoon season (November–March)
